| I've had a word with Ian and he's given the go ahead for this thread. We thought it was a good idea and we hope you do too. There's two reasons for this thread. The first being a real time running total of active members because allthough it states 297 members on the portal page it would be good to know how many of those are actually active on the site. So when you do post in here remember to put the appropiate post number at the top. The second and possibly most important one to the club is an introductory thread. A place where new members could be encouraged to post up and say hi and tell us all about themselves and their Cougar. But not just new members. All of us should introduce ourselves on here because if you think about it, although we've been talking to each other within the club for a long time we don't necessarily know each other very well. So come on everyone, lets get to know each other and encourage new members to be active within the club and show them that we really are a friendly if not slightly bonkers bunch of people and feel free to include a pic of your cat. I'll start. 1Hi everyone I'm Nick and i own a green 2.0L Cougar. I've had her for about 2 years and swore i'd never modify her......yeah right......once you've got the bug eh ? Here's a pic of how she looks now..... For my job i'm a home shopping delivery driver so if you order your grocery's from Asda it could be me bringing it too you I've been on SCC for a couple of years now and the powers that be saw fit to make me the Forum Clean Up Fairy so watch out for my deleting wand Nick Anyway, that's mine done so come on you lot, that's all you need to do so lets get the newbies involved in the club and show them it's a great place to be. One post per member and please remember the number at the top of your post. Remember, it's serves a purpose. Thanks guys | |

| 5Hi I'm Rick and I have owned my F R O S T Y - C O U G A R now since Jan 04. It was purchased completely standard but has experienced one or two mods. The list compiled not necessarily in chronological order but goes something like this: Mods started in 2005Viper Induction Kit Mongoose Performance Exhaust System Eibach Pro Kit Sports Springs Anti-Moosing kit 18" ANZ Alloy Wheels and 225/40/18 Tyres Cougar Emlem Badege to Rear Clear Side Repeaters Pioneer Head Unit Ipod Classic Stainless Steel Cap Covers C1 Cougar Grill with Cougar Emblem Badge Freedom Design Front Strut Brace Cougar Emblem Dust Covers (STOLEN) Ford Rear Spolier with uprated struts SCC Decals ROUSH complete body kit ( 1 of 12 complete sets in the UK so I am informed ) Removed Front Number Plate HolderFormer .com & .net member but have been with SCC for ever Sorry I don't have many standard pic's. Here's a few part way through the project just to wet your appetite. Now for the ROUSH bits . . . It was going so well then I hit a problem, see if you can spot it So she hung around in this guise for a while untill I was able to get a new exhaust system sorted And finally . . . Still more to be done but I'll warn you now once you've been bitten by the Cougar bug it's a hard habbit to break. Interests are: My wife, duaghter and my cats Bodie & Doyle Modifying my Cougar SCC Driving my Cougar Music ( I write and record my own material and am part of a band plus I like to listen to music ) Cleaning my Cougar Structural/Landscape and Graphic Design/ Art and Photography Cougar meets and events Sunny dayz Mequiars Products Lots of stuff really not enough hours in the day

She is a 2.5 V6 with the awesome Pipercross Viper induction kit and the ST200 Throttle body. And here she is: Didz

| So.........there's only 5 admin and 2 well established members using the club at the moment then Come on guy's' where's the rest of you ? The amount of hours Ian put's into the club to keep it running surelly warrant's all of you to contribute to this thread. Over the last few months we've been getting down hearted about the lack of response from new members when one of us post's a welcome message. This thread is an attempt to involve people registering on SCC and get them involved in the club. Ok perhap's it is a bit cheesy to say "Hi, my name's........." and to have to introduce yourself to people you've been talking to for years. But do you know everyone's name on here? I know i don't. Ian's currently in the process of designing a new site, not just for himself but all of us. If he was to look at this thread and see the lack of interest and think "what's the point now", i for one would be gutted.................would you ? So please, take a coulple of minutes to post a Hi and tell us your name. Even if that's all you do, it's better than nothing at all. Out of 298 registered members there just has to be more than 7 people interested enough to keep the club going. After all, what's the alternative to this FREE site if we lose it Ok it would probably never happen............. ..........................would it | |

| No8 Hi I'm Wayne (Wilko27) and I currently own a Blurple V6 of which I love and have kept fairly standard apart from updated brakes what haven't exactly worked out due to warped discs after 3 months , and I have changed front door speakers and stereo that's it so far. And here she is I joined about 9 months ago, and I was, don't laugh, driving a 1.8 Citroën Xantia, but whilst looking for an alternative to this mode of transport I spotted a Cougar on Autotrader and once the decision had been made to buy one I found SCC. You guys on here have been invaluable to me, especially Ian, he's saved me a fortune in garage bills. I also have recently purchased an 1998 Mondeo ST24 (Greeney) which i purchased for myself for when my wife takes ownership of my Cougar when or if she passes her test. Once again Ian has already helped me out with 2 problems i have with my ST24, saving me money again, so once again many thanks Ian. I work for a IT supplier at the moment in the Warehouse, and have been married to my lovely Wife Rox for 4 years now. Thanks guys Wayne.

I'm from Lithuania, and here's what I'm driving: She's a 2.5 V6 2000 Cougar, bought it a couple of years back, payed a good 5k in euros and she's worth every cent. All standart except for an Apexi air filter, 7 inch LCD head unit and Xenon headlights. About me, well I'm a chief officer on a container vessel, which means I get seasick for a living I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody on this forum, lots of help from you guys and gals. special thanks to Ian for all his helpful tips, and of course Kerry for her kind heart. P.S. Ian don't you give up on the new forum look, I'm waiting for it like christmas!

We have an ebony V6 called Kat & a fosty - both are on my signature at the bottom of mypost. Rob likes to keep Kat nice & shiney but as we have a huge lime tree outside our house it sometimes feels like a losing battle against the tree sap. Rob is an electrician & I'm a kept woman. We're both into body modification as well as Cougar modification. We have 2 Boerboels who are our babies.

| 21 Hi all, My name is Mac from Torquay. I have recently purchased a Laser Red Cougar 2 . She's a great car & the first that I have ever owned where I actually want to look after her properly ( I've been driving 28 years ). She does need some TLC which I intend to give her as and when money & time lets me. It's great to find some enthusiasts that help each other & I look forward to meeting some of you in the near future. When I'm not drooling over the cougar I'm usually messing about fixing or building PC's and have a you tube site dedicated to Retro gaming in particular the Amiga Scene. Yes, I'm giving my age away ( nearly 49 ) but still feel 21 ish. Cheers Mac
